Over the past decade, Humboldt County has seen a growing number of small, family run wineries with the current number at 22. In addition, just over the border in Trinity County there are several more. Most do not have tasting rooms, but there are several events open to the public where local wineries are well represented (as well as brewers). Some of these include benefits for public radio and television as well as "gala" events like the Oyster Festival and Kinetic Scupture Race. Look at the in the Calendar of the Norch Coast Journal.
Local wines are also available at several wine bars such as Libations, in Arcata, and Cin Cin and Art of Wine in Eureka.
