The Arcata/Eureka area has a number of fine eating experiences available ranging from the esoteric to the bistro. Many serve our wines and we suggest you visit the The North Coast Journal's menu guide for further information.
Some suggestions
We do have a few suggestions, however. For the best cafe-style seafood, don't miss the Seascape Restaurant on the pier at Trinidad. La Trattoria (Sunnybrae, Arcata) is a small family run "trattoria" offering authentic Italian food. 3-Foods in Arcata, located behind the Arcata Coop will provide an eclectic combination of unorthodox cuisines. Pay the $1 for the silly dance. For up-scale Italian meals, visit Aburzzi on the plaza or the Plaza Grill upstairs for a casual drink and snacks. In Eureka, for an upscale dining experience, we like Cin Cin featuring white table-cloth meals (Italian) and around the corner, The Ritz for excellent sushi(pictured above). Hurricane Kate's, around the corner provides an unique style of fusion cooking. Mazzotti's and Roy's Italian Restaurant offer new and traditional style of Italian meals. For fine dining with a view, visit the Moonstone Grill above Clam Beach or the Sunset Restaurant at the Cher-Ae Heights Casino in Trinidad where you can alternate your dinner courses with a few chances at the slots. And, don't miss one of our most famous restaurants, 'Larrupin Cafe a bit north of Trinidad which has set the standard for good food for over 30 years.There are three local wine bars: Libation Wine Bar on the Plaza in Arcata, Art of Wine and Cin Cin both in Old Town, Eureka.
